pH balance

The human body by nature needs to be in precise conditions of internal balance to enjoy well-being and good health.

Your blood needs the right balance of acidic and basic compounds to function properly. This is called the acid-base balance.

Understanding the pH

The body’s pH is the barometer that allows us to measure this degree of balance and that tells us if a body is healthy or sick, according to its degree of acidity or alkalinity.

New studies are showing the importance of maintaining a slightly alkaline organism to prevent diseases as severe and common as allergies, autoimmune diseases, and even cancer.

On the pH scale, 14 is alkaline, 7 is neutral, and between 0 and 6 acidic.

Although not all the fluids in our body have the same pH degree to maintain their balance, the blood must always remain at a slightly alkaline pH of between 7.3-7, otherwise, the cells would become ill. That is why our bodies will do the impossible to maintain this balance.

When we lead a lifestyle dominated by stress, chemicals, negative thoughts, and no sport, our body has to work harder to achieve a stable internal condition. All these factors directly affect our pH level.

In addition to having adequate nutrition to stay healthy, it is important to consider that health also has to do with our relationships and our emotionsA negative feeling can cause more acidification in the body than eating a few slices of pizza.

How does acid-base balance base work?

All the cells that make up our body need to feed, eliminate waste and constantly renew themselves. In this sense, blood fulfills two vital functions:

  • Bring all the cells the oxygen and nutrients they need.
  • Remove from them the toxic and acidic residues that are produced as a result of the metabolism of said nutrients.
What happens when our body doesn’t remain alkaline?

When our body is not kept in a slightly alkaline state, we can suffer from a condition called acidosis.

Acidosis’ symptoms
  • weight gain, obesity, and diabetes,
  • immunodeficiencies,
  • hormonal imbalances,
  • premature aging,
  • osteoporosis,
  • lack of energy and chronic fatigue, and
  • fungi, infections, and viruses.

Tips to keep your body’s pH in balance
  • eat a variety of nutritious foods,
  • hydrate your body.
  • do exercise three times a week.
  • disconnect to reconnect.
  • control your emotions, and
  • make a glass of water with a teaspoon of baking soda daily and drink it.

Avoid having health complications from an unbalanced pH. basoSan promotes a healthy intra and extracellular activity, which helps body defense and improves the healing process by balancing pH levels.
